Introduce your business and tell us your story: How did you decide on what to sell, and how did you source your products?

I was living in Bali doing yoga teacher training and saw a product that wasn't offered in North America that was timely due to the surge of yoga and rise of Lululemon. We source products in a myriad of ways - we make our core product in Canada and also have additional products we source overseas.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

Facebook! We started social media at the right time and really poured our hearts into adding value through Facebook to drive sales. Facebook, Instagram and blog collaborations drive the most traffic and sales for us.

Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

Inventory App, Product upsell, Abandoned Cart app all work best for us. We handle shipping and fulfillment internally.

What are your top recommendations for new store owners?

  1. Test everything (before you invest big money in inventory or a huge marketing campaign test it first) 2. Build a team as soon as you can (even if it's just some part-time assistants). Learn to delegate as much as possible 3. Provide epic customer service.
